One of the first conductors with whom Cecilia Bartoli worked, belonged Herbert von Karajan, Daniel Barenboim and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. They were already aware of Bartoli, as this had just completed her vocal training with her parents in her hometown of Rome. Since then she has worked with many renowned conductors, pianists and orchestras. In recent years, it focused particularly on working with major orchestras, contemporary instruments and historical performance practice use (to name would be here the Academy of Ancient Music, Les Arts Florissants, I Barocchisti, the Concentus Musicus Wien, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Il Giardino Armonico, the Basel chamber Orchestra, the Ensemble Matheus, Les Musiciens du Louvre, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Zurich Orchestra La Scintilla). 2008, Cecilia Bartoli was intensely occupied with the early 19th century - the era of Italian Romanticism and bel canto - and especially the legendary singer Maria Malibran, whose birthday is jÄhrte the 200th time on March 24 of 2008. In 2012 she was awarded the Herbert von Karajan Prize in Baden-Baden, also a rare Swiss Award for culture, and it was declared by the Principality of Monaco to the Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merite Culturel.
