Maroon 5 Biography

The predecessor band Maroon 5 was established in 1995 under the name Kara's Flowers in Los Angeles (California, USA). The four founding members Levine, Carmichael (then on the guitar), Madden and Dusick knew each of her countries Junior High Scholl.

The first published album "The Fourth World" in 1997 was an absolute flop and so the group broke temporarily up to go to different colleges, but remained in contact. 2001 finally Maroon was founded. 5 Because Jesse Carmichael was changed from guitar to keyboard, a new member was required. At this time, then pushed James Valentine joined the band.

In 2002, the debut album of Maroon 5 appeared under the title "Songs About Jane", the ex-girlfriend of Adam Levine. It reached in Germany, Austria, Great Britain and the United States the top 10 of the album charts. After the beginning of commercial success sold at once the album "The Fourth World" head and shoulders.

In autumn 2006, Maroon 5 had to replace the drummer. Ryan Dusick complained for some time about problems in the shoulder and then the previous backup drummer Matt Flynn took over the sticks. The band won in 2005 and 2006 a Grammy. Only when "Best New Artist", then as "Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal".

In early summer of 2007 appeared with "I Will not Be Soon Before Long", the second studio album by the group. this reached Maroon 5, the tips of the US Billboard 200 and the UK album charts. The group received several platinum records for the sales success of this album. The resulting second single "Makes Me Wonder" could climb to position one of the US charts, this succeeded in Canada. For the single, the band received in the following year a Grammy in the category "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals".

The third studio album of the rockers from California was recorded in Switzerland. Before the release of "Hands All Over" titled work went Maroon 5 on a one-month tour for promotional purposes. Adam Levine he also announced that he saw the group arrive at the peak, and that perhaps could make an album before you dissolve the band.
